Detox Benefits

Offers A Stronger Immune System:

Once detoxing, your body will free up your organs to function properly.  This, in turn, will strengthen your immune system enabling it to absorb better nutrients including vitamin C.  There are certain herbs that will help your lymphatic system perform better while detoxing.  Your lymphatic system returns lymph from tissues and then back into the bloodstream.  Lymph is a clear fluid that looks like blood plasma and  contains blood cells.

Many detox programs also focus on light exercising which will help the lymph fluid to move through your body.  This helps your body drain the bad toxins while strengthening your immune system.

Healthier More Radiant Skin:

Many people do not realize that their skin is the largest organ of the human body.  Detoxing will also cleanse your skin for a more vibrant appearance.  Another step to consider while detoxing, is taking a sauna to sweat out toxins through your pores.  By the end of the program, you will experience smoother, clearer skin.  If you suffer from acne, it could get worse before getting better due to the release of toxins.  Don't Panic! People have testified that detoxing has helped clear up their acne in time.  In some cases, while detoxing, some people have experienced itchy, patchy skin for a short period of time and then it will clear up.  This is all within the process of detoxing letting you know you are on the right path.

Can Promote Fresher Breath:

It's believed that people who suffer from bad breath are suffering from a backed up colon.  As detoxing cleanses the colon and clears the digestive system, their breath significantly improves.  As with other issues, keep in mind your breath might get worse before it improves, due to detoxing.  Many of these issues are natural as toxins are being released from your body.

Adrenal glands regulation & Yoga

Cortisol levels are lowered when you do Yoga practice. This is how it works, cortisol is secreted by the adrenal gland in response to crisis, and this is a temporary booster to the immune system. Your immune system can be compromised if after crisis, your cortisol level remain high. Having a temporary boost in your cortisol level will help boost memory, whereas, a chronically high cortisol level will undermine your memory and can result in permanent change to the brain. Furthermore, too much of cortisol causes depression, insulin resistance, high blood pressure, and osteoporosis - extracting calcium and some other minerals from bones, and hindering lay down of new bones. This might also cause the “food-seeking behavior”, a disorder that makes you want to eat when angry or depressed. The body then deposits the extra calories as fat in the abdomen, adding to weight gain as well as risk of heart attack and diabetes.

Yoga helps you focus

You can’t practice Yoga and not be able to focus on the present. In fact, scientific studies have proven that Yoga helps you improve coordination, memory, reaction time, and even IQ scores. People involved in Transcendental Meditation possess the ability to solve problems, acquire and recall information much better—probably because they are able to stay focused, irrespective of their thought, which never really stops passing as an endless wave string.

How frequently on a Weekly basis should I Practice?

Yoga is stunning, regardless of the possibility that you practice for just one hour per week, you will encounter the advantages of the practice. In the event that you can accomplish more than that, you will surely encounter more advantages. I recommend beginning with a few times each week, for 60 minutes or 90 minutes every time. In the event that you can accomplish 20 minutes for each session, that is great as well. Try not to let time limitations or unreasonable objectives be a snag—do what you can and don't stress over it. You will probably discover that before long your yearning to practice extends naturally and you will wind up accomplishing an ever increasing amount.

Must I be a Vegetarian before I can practice Yoga?

The first rule of yoga philosophy is called ahimsa, which means a state of being harmless to self and others. Some people interpret this principle to mean that you must also be a vegetarian to practice Yoga. There is already an argument going on in the yoga community about this issue. I believe that, becoming a vegetarian is a personal decision; and whoever is planning to become one should decide within himself, consider his present health condition and most importantly, take into account the effect of his decision on his entire household. Being a vegetarian should not be forced on people. It’s all about choice!  The harshness in the act of imposing vegetarianism on individuals who are willing to practice Yoga, has not really expressed the concept of ahimsa.
